AMC COVID-19 POLICY
Please note: Children ages 2-13 must wear their masks at all times while at the daycare. Children must come to the daycare with their own masks.

We will continue to monitor the health of all children and staff for any COVID-19 symptoms. Should a child/ren or staff member present any COVID-19 like symptoms, parents/guardians will be notified immediately.

As per the CDC guidelines, we ask for you to please keep your child home and monitor their health and the health of family members for any of the COVID-19 symptoms such as: coughing, temperature higher than 100.4F., shortness of breath, runny nose, diarrhea or loss of smell/taste. We also ask that you check your child’s temperature 3 times per day during the 10-day quarantine period.
Please remember to continue promoting healthy behaviors by following the following practices:
-
Stay home from school or work if sick, even if symptoms are mild.

-
Wear a face covering and practice safe social distancing.

-
Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue (or sleeve), and then throw the tissue in the trash. Immediately wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

-
Wash your hands often with soap and water for 20 seconds. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60 percent alcohol.

-
Avoid touching the eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

-
Clean and disinfect surfaces that are often touched.

-
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

-
Different variants are rising, and parents will be asked to monitor their child/children for any known symptoms before attending care.

-
If a child is displaying any of the above symptoms, the director will ask the parent to keep the child home, possibly quarantining or testing, before he or she can return to care. If the child/children test positive, all parents will be required to bring a copy of the negative results before the child/children can return to daycare or the child must quarantine for 10 days. If he or she test positive. Please note the child/children will be turned around at the door, if these rules are not followed.

-
Because of the rising variants, the center may have to close some classrooms, until that classroom is completely sanitized, while monitoring other children’s symptoms, while in care. Some cases may require possibly closing the whole center due to the number of cases. This will be done on a case-by-case basis and classroom basis.

-
Parents will be informed by letter and or text if their child/children has been exposed to covid and its variants the same day. Please make sure all phone numbers are current.

-
We understand that our parents must work, and we are taking this under consideration and using every precaution to ensure everyone’s wellbeing. However, AMC will closely follow CDC guidelines for the daycare concerning the children.

If there are any concerns regarding the childcare payment, please contact the Director or 2nd Director.
